Tenyoh

Inspiration for my art stems from my experience as a nurse with people of diverse backgrounds. In Japan, where I was born, I studied brush and ink technique. In the USA I turned my attention to oils. Now I am pursuing a full-time career as a self-taught ceramic sculptor.

My current focus is on capturing subtle variations of emotion, as I believe this is the key to reaching the viewers heart. With that goal in mind, I have created a series of busts portraying human resilience. A few pieces from that series are included in this page.
